Course Description

The use of literature in the language class is now very widely accepted as one of the most effective tools for cultural and linguistic enrichment. This course will help students to develop their language skills (speaking, reading, writing) to the point where they can approach authentic literary texts with confidence. It also introduces students to basic stylistic techniques which enable writers to create and achieve various aesthetic effects. Emphasis will be on developing of students` ability to evaluate and appreciate works of literature through linguistic analysis.
